Final Fantasy Odyssey was developed to provide an information resource to the fans that support or do not know much about Final Fantasy. While content is all around the site, the use of graphics, screenshots, wallpapers, and more add an extra sense of feeling.
The main creators of the site (wsim and segadcsonic), are siblings from a city near Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are 22 and 20 years old respectively. We were first inspired to create a Final Fantasy fan site back in late February 2001, since we love FF games and would like to share our feelings and impressions of Final Fantasy to the online community. Why another FF Online clone? It's not considered that; we are doing this because this actually enhances our creativity and writing skills in a very fun manner. Furthermore, we love Final Fantasy and hope you do the same too.
We would like to give extra special thanks to all our volunteer guest reviewers who did some of the sections, their help was of great value. Thanks go out as well to the many people who submitted imagery and other media for the enhancement of the site.
This site currently runs off the Telefragged, which means the operating costs are less than before. But that doesn't mean that we're running this site without paying. If you donate/advertise to us, it will be used to pay off domain, software, and other site expenses. If you'd like to keep the site alive, please do so, that's all we ask for. If we lose too much money from the site, it'll be more difficult to keep it up online.
Our very first site was VG Critics Online, a video gaming website (the link will work, but has many broken links), and then it later on became VG Union (no link available). Then we made FF Odyssey, which was first hosted on a cheap virtual hosting account, then gradually the site expenses went up. Right now, Telefragged is providing the hosting for us, so the site expenses are a less than before.
Version I of
the site was very basic, it covered the main games: FF 6/7/8/9, and the movie.

Version II
Version II of the site is
an improvement in terms of content in general. There
were new design features.
Version III
BETA
Right now, we are on Version III, which has
Flash enhanced
navigation, a new layout, and more
systematic organization.
Version 3.20
Version 3.20
slightly altered the original Flash concept, and added a front page editorial,
updated graphics, and a few new sections.
Version 3.25
Version 3.25 features updated links and a better top navigation.
Version 3.30 features
more content updates, minor changes, and an updated Flash navigation
incorporating Google SiteSearch.
