Gackt’s Fantasy?
|
November 5, 2005 |
|
It
appears that popular J-pop star Gackt will be performing the main
theme to the upcoming title, Dirge of Cerberus. In addition to
“Redemption”, Gackt will also perform another song in the game,
entitled “Longing”. But that is not all of the surprises available in
terms of Dirge of Cerberus. Gackt will also appear in the game itself.
However, he will not be a virtual character, but the real Gackt will
make a special appearance in the game.

New FF XII Information
|
August 9, 2005 |
|
New character and
summons information revealed:
Some of you may have seen various pieces of recent FFXII magazine scans
and have noticed a dark-haired man appearing in some of them. Recently,
Square-Enix has explained more details regarding this character. His name
is Vayne and he is the heir of Gramis, the Emperor of Arcadia. It’s too
early to determine whether Vayne is a playable character in FFXII or not.
The two new summons shown are Berias, the fire summon and Hashmarim, the
earth summon. It appears that summons will play a similar role in battle
to the ones in FFX.
Japan release date confirmed:
Those who are waiting for FFXII will have to wait longer, unfortunately.
Square-Enix has finally announced a release date for Japan. FFXII is slated
for release on March 16th, 2006. No word yet on a North American release
date. When it happens, you can be sure that we’ll report it as soon as
possible.

FF Odyssey 4th Anniversary!
|
August 9, 2005 |
|
It was four years ago
(August 9, 2001) when our site first launched. It has grown since then,
and we are proud to celebrate four years on the internet. We thank all
our viewers for our success. Extra thanks to our volunteers, who have
helped out on many things in the past. We will continue to bring out quality
Final Fantasy information on this site for many years to come.
We would definitely want our site to grow. One way to do this is for our
viewers to participate on FF Odyssey. Whether it would be through volunteering
through our jobs page, reporting errors, or submitting fan art / fan fiction
/ wallpapers, you are making substantial contributions to the quality
and depth of content on the site.
The upcoming expansion section, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, is
set to be up and completely functional this fall/winter. In addition,
we are awaiting the arrival of various FF VII spinoff games, including
Dirge of Cerberus, and Before Crisis. Another section which we will be
reviewing is the highly anticipated FF XII, set for release next year
after the PlayStation 3’s Japanese launch.
We apologize for the recent downtime lasting approximately two weeks.
Fortunately, we now have a new host:
Telefragged. We thank them for
hosting us and hope that they will continue providing this great service
for several years to come. Keep in mind that for the next few days, scripts
will be installed and some minor changes will be made, so some sections
(ie: topsites/poll) are not fully functional yet. If you experience
any other problems, email us.
We have some small updates, so please check them out!
