Recently, there has been a slew of new media for the highly anticipated Dissidia, including the Japanese box-art, screenshots and a trailer from the Tokyo Game Show. At this point, no word yet on a North American release date but the PSP title will be on store shelves in Japan on Dec 18th, 2008. In the meantime, these should hold you over…..

Recently, Square-Enix has announced the development of three downloadable expansion scenarios for Final Fantasy XI. They will be available only exclusively for online purchases through the PlayOnline Viewer. The first expansion, to be entitled “A Crystalline Prophecy: Ode of Life Bestowing” will be released in Spring 2009. The others, entitled “A Moogle Kupo d’Eta: Evil in Small Dose” and “A Shantotto Ascension: The Legend Torn, Her Empire Born are currently not dated for release as of yet.

After the recent TGS in Japan, lots of new information about FFXIII has been released. These scans showcase all three titles in the FFXIII Nova Crystallis titles. The scans are courtesy of Famitsu magazine and the images are generally taken from various trailers or other in-game sequences and scenes. Enjoy!

In addition, new character names have been revealed. We now have Lightning, Sarah and Snow in FFXIII along with Noctis and Stella from Versus.

After much waiting, the anticipated PSP title now has a release date. The game is slated for a December 18th, 2008 release in Japan. There is no word of a North American release date as of yet but we will keep you posted.

The game is looking fantastic thus far and will be eagerly anticipated by many. At this point, the gameplay seems relatively fresh and would be a nice change of pace. Seeing all your old Final Fantasy favourites again provides for some great nostalgia!
