of FFXIII and hope to have the section completed shortly. We
will keep you posted once it is finished. The game is indeed
quite different from previous FF titles and you can expect a lot of
interesting opinions/comments on the final review.
The release date of Dissidia 012 (Follow-up for
Dissidia) for the PSP has been unveiled as March 3rd, 2011 in Japan
and Spring 2011 for North America. As well, Square-Enix also
released a trailer of the game from their recent Jump Festa. The
trailer shows all of the characters revealed at this point. Check
it out!
Square Enix has recently
announced that they will be launching "Final Fantasy The Card Game"
in Japan on February 25th.There is not much information on the
game itself and how it will play out.As well, no official English-language
release of the game has been confirmed yet.You can check out the Japanese site
below.Keep you posted on more details as it
comes out.
As you may already know,
information on this highly anticipated title has been limited due to
a lack of details revealed by the development team and Square Enix.
The
director of the game, Hajime Tabata, mentions that new information
will be shown in the new year with more solid details. The game is a mix of different concepts
as the battles are a clash between weapons and magic, the world a
collision between four fantasies and the game in general as a
confrontation between the two realities of ordinary and unordinary. No release date has been
given for this title.
New screenshots for Square-Enix's
mobile title, FF Legends
have recently surfaced. The game has the look and feel of the
older SNES Final Fantasy titles. The latest scenario, exclusive only for
iMode users, contains a portion of the game's Light chapter and
called The Last Dragoon. This is a free scenario but others
are usually between 315 and 525 yen. These are released about once per
month.Users can select and choose their
scenarios and do not need to download each one.Unfortunately, this title is only
available in Japan.
Recent information has surfaced
which confirms that FF XIV will have 18 different classes to choose
from. The classes are a solid mix of combat, magic, gathering
and crafting roles. Combatants are called the Disciples of War and
include the Pugilist, Gladiator, Marauder, Archer and Lancer. The
magi are named the Disciples of Magic and there only two of
them, the Conjurer and Thaumaturge. Gatherers, Disciples of The
Land, also consist of the Miner, Botanist and Fisherman. The
crafters are also known as the Disciples of The Hand, adding up to a
total of eight different branches: Carpenter, Blacksmith, Armourer,
Goldsmith, Leather Worker, Weaver, Alchemist and Culinarian.
As of now, the beta version only allows usage of a few of these
classes.
Final Fantasy XIV's Armoury system will enable players the ability
to specialize in either a single skill or mixing them up to meet
their desires. These 18 classes should be plenty to keep people
occupied once the game releases on September 30.
It looks like FF XIII Versus is back in the
spotlight. Tetsuya Nomura has recently revealed some
interesting details about the game in Famitsu magazine. New
scans and images are shown in the issue, including a Behemoth
battle. All of this is captured in real-time and confirmed to
be using the PlayStation 3 hardware. Nomura revealed that
battles are seamless transitions, battle encounters are both random
and symbol-based (able to see enemies in advance), cloud effects use
real physics calculations and the world will be an open field for
freedom and exploration (except for mountains). There should
be more news on this anticipated title at this year's upcoming Tokyo
Game Show.
