Fran is the only non-hume in the party of FFXII and hails from Viera village. She is Balthier's companion and partner. She also is loyal to Balthier and assists him with his adventures as a sky pirate. She also has to deal with the scorn that her fellow Viera's have on her.
Balthier is Fran's best friend and together they have traveled on numerous sky pirate adventures in search of new treasure and learning about the land of Ivalice. Fran also has some history with the people of Viera village near Golmore Jungle.
Character Developments (Spoilers)
Fran has a past history with members of her Viera race back in the Viera village. They have scorned her for leaving the sacred wood and entering the world of the humes. She has been away from the village for too long for her to ever be comfortable coming back. However, she does manage to help and track down a fellow Viera later on in the storyline. Fran also has a strong reaction to the mist that comes from nethicite and it causes her to feel quite uncomfortable sometimes.
Fran is a supporting character to FFXII. She basically tags along with Balthier wherever he goes and has a very close relationship to him. There is no information known about her age but it is rumored to be at least over 100 years old. Fran serves as Balthier's most trusted friend and companion and is loyal to him no matter what.
