Judge Magisters

     The Judge Magisters are the head commanders of the Arcadian army.  Throughout the storyline, they gradually die off one-by-one with the exception of Judge Zargabaath.  They serve loyalty to House Solider and the emperor.  The most important Judge to the storyline would be Gabranth.  He turned to the empire after his homeland was invaded and occupied.  He had no faith in Basch and blamed his problems on Basch's failure to protect not only Landis but Dalmasca.  Eventually, Basch convinced Gabranth that he was fighting on the wrong side and that he shouldn't be blaming everything on himself.

Reks

    Reks is the brother of Vaan, who is conscripted into the Dalmascan army to stop the Arcadian threat.  He is stabbed and killed by someone who appears to look exactly like Basche.  It later on turns out that it was Judge Gabranth, who later assumed Basch's identity that actually killed Reks.  The death of Reks sparked Vaan's determination and intention to take revenge on Arcadia.

Prince Rasler

    Rasler is the husband of Ashe and the two married just prior to the Arcadian invasion of Dalmasca.  Unfortunately, Rasler dies in the initial battle and Princess Ashe goes into hiding as a result of the occupation of Dalmasca by Arcadia.  Rasler appears as a spirit to guide Ashe at various points of her journey.
 

Vossler Azelas

     Along with Captain Basch, Vossler led the Dalmascan army against the forces of Arcadia.  He was captured after attempting to save the king from the Arcadian trap and spent the next while in a prison.  He managed to escape and eventually rejoins the resistance.  However, he believes that Ashe should be on the throne, even if it means being a puppet of Arcadia in order to restore the kingdom of Dalmasca.

Al-Cid Margrace

     Heir to the Rozarrian ruling family, Al-Cid is known to be flamboyant.  He attempted to help Larsa end the war through a non-violent fashion but was eventually forced to return to Rozarria after Vayne declared himself dictator.  He persuaded his people not to take action in vain but eventually ended up siding with the resistance.

 


King Raminas

     Father of Ashe and eight deceased princes, ruled Dalmasca before its invasion. After Dalmasca's fall to the Archadian Empire, he was forced to acknowledge a "peace treaty" - the sign to approve Archadia's occupation and Dalmasca's surrender - but Vayne had Judge Gabranth murder him while pretending to be Basch soon after.


Emperor Gramis

    Head of the Arcadian empire, he also favours a peaceful solution to the armed conflict but is also willing to use military force if there are no other options.  Gramis gave the order for Vayne to kill off his two older brothers and disagreed with Vayne over dissolving the Senate.  As a result, Vayne killed Gramis.  The blame on Gramis' death was placed on the Senate, which was eventually disbanded by Vayne's orders.

 

Reddas

In truth, he was originally the missing Judge Magister Zecht of Archadia. In the war with Nabudis, he was responsible for the Midlight Shard destroying the kingdom. He had to overcome such guilt and eventually led him to the Port of Balfonheim where he cleaned up the town and became a patron to some pirates.  He later on sacrificed himself at Pharos in stopping the mist.


Doctor Cid

     Doctor Cid is the father of Balthier and the mastermind behind the empire's weapons research program.  He has been obsessed with the power of nethicite and has been taken under the influence of Venat, who rebelled against the Occurrian gods.  Cid wants to use nethicite so he can become more powerful and to reach the status of being a god.  To summarize, Cid is completely crazy over nethicite and loves the power it possesses.
