Sazh is a former airship pilot. His young son, Dajh is taken by the Sanctum as he has become a l'Cie three days earlier when Sazh bought a Chocobo. The bird lives in his hair. Sazh sets out to hopefully find a way to save Dajh. He can summon Brynhildr and wields twin gun pistols.
Other than his son Dajh, it appears that Sazh is also
connected in some way to Jihl Nabaat, one of the elite officers of PSICOM.
Jihl reveals to Sazh about Vanille's role in having Dajh become a
l'Cie.
Character Developments
(Spoilers)
After learning of Vanille's role in Dajh becoming a l'Cie by Jihl, Sazh
attempts to kill Vanille but fails and tries to commit suicide himself.
He does not go through with this and is later on captured by Jihl.
Later on, he reconciles with Fang for her responsibility in
Dajh's fate.
