While not too much is known about him, FuSoYa is of Lunarian descent and lives
on the moon. FuSoYa is a very important character in the game even though
he only makes a brief appearance near the end of FFIV. FuSoYa is quite
a mysterious character overall though. Of course, FuSoYa is a very strong
magic user, it’s recommended that you use it to your advantage.
Major Relations
FuSoYa seems to have a decent knowledge of the Lunarians and he knows quite
a bit about Golbez’s and Cecil’s origins. It is revealed that both Cecil
and Golbez are brothers, which is kind of ironic but anyways, FuSoYa appears
to also have relations with Cecil’s father. He also knows Zemus quite
well and his intentions but he usually doesn’t hang around much with earthlings
however. FuSoYa is mainly used to further on the storyline as he doesn’t
have many friends outside of the moon.
Character Developments
(Spoilers)
FuSoYa first encounters Cecil and friends on the moon and agrees to help them
defeat Zemus, a powerful Lunarian behind the control of Golbez. FuSoYa
manages to break Golbez’s evil spell, thus saving Kain from further evil deeds
and also frees Golbez from it as well. He then leads Cecil and the others
deep into the moons core for the final confrontation against Zemus and thus,
deciding the fate of the world. Also, since FuSoYa is a skilled magic-user,
he can use every single Black and White magic spell in the game, which will
prove very useful later on. FuSoYa is a reliable and a kind-hearted character
in terms of personality.
Review
FuSoYa is a mysterious character but he’s strong magic-wise though. Very
little is known about his origins except for the fact that he is a Lunarian
and lives on the moon. His Regen command in battle is not useful and shouldn’t
be bothered with as it only recovers 10HP at a time and it’s quite slow too.
FuSoYa’s magic is very powerful and he can even cast Meteo. FuSoYa isn’t
a great character personality-wise, he’s rather mysterious but still, he’s an
important and useful character in the game overall. To me, FuSoYa is a
mediocre character, since I don’t like or really hate the guy.
Weapons/Armor/Accessories
FuSoYa can use Staffs and Rods like Tellah and he can also equip robes and other
light armor for the most part as well. Of course, like Rosa and Tellah,
he’s not a good character in terms of physical attacks, rather, you will definitely
have to rely on his powerful Black Magic and White Magic to get by with him.
FuSoYa doesn’t really miss a lot however, he does have a good hit percentage
though.
