Cloud has no real role in FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus and is relegated to being
a cameo character only, much like many of the other returning FFVII
characters.
Thought to be killed in FFVII, Hojo was able to upload his mind into the World Network as a backup, just before being killed. His mind had been fragmented by meteor but the fragments of his mind eventually took control over Weiss' body. Throughout DoC, Hojo controlled Weiss to order the Deepground SOLDIERs to abduct those without Geostigma to enable Weiss' body to eventually absorb Omega and fool the planet into summoning it. After Weiss was defeated, his merger with Nero eliminted Hojo and his control over Weiss' body.
Female scientist who worked on the Jenova Project. She was once the love interest of Vincent and eventually left him after the guilt of Vincent father's death. She decided to love Hojo and eventually became pregnant. The unborn child was to have various experiments with Jenova cells done to it. Lucrecia is the mother of Sephiroth. She managed to expose Vincent to a deadly form of mako and this resulted in Vincent's ability to transform. She used Protomateria to control Chaos in Vincent's body but decided to kill herself over the guilt of Vincent's plight. As she had Jenova cells, she was unable to kill herself but instead locked herself in a cave and trapped her body with mako crystals.
