Laguna Loire
Age:
27
Height: 5’9”

About (No Spoilers)

A former soldier of the Galbadian Army, Laguna becomes a journalist later on in the game.  He frequently appears in the SeeD’s “Dreamworld” sequences.  Laguna is well respected to his friends and comrades and is a kind-hearted person overall.  He is very generous and his main struggle is to find his daughter Ellone.

Major Relations

Of course, other than his best friends Kiros and Ward, it appears that Laguna is related to Squall in some way as well.  He has strong relations with his daughter Ellone who has the special ability to bring people into the past for some weird reason and Laguna has strong relations with a woman named Raine who fell in love with Laguna in his past.  Besides this, he is a kind-hearted man who gets along well with almost anyone but besides the people listed above; he does not have very strong ties with the other characters in the game.

Character Developments (Spoilers)

Laguna has two loyal friends who were with him during his days in the Galbadian Army and they are Kiros and Ward.  Eventually, Laguna decides to become a journalist and he changes professions throughout his life until finally arriving in the futuristic city of Esthar.  During this time, his frantic search to find his daughter Ellone was put on hold but he was nevertheless determined to find her once again.

Review

Overall, Laguna has a decent personality and a kind-heart and he’s also quite a generous character as well.  With some good friends, Laguna eventually finds Ellone and becomes President of Esthar near the end of the game.  Sometimes he may seem somewhat clumsy but he is a solid character to have in battle and he has good leadership skills for the most part as well.

Weapons

Like Edea, Laguna only has one Limit Break to use in battle but it manages to be quite effective overall.  It also attacks all enemies and works well on single enemies or bosses too.

Laguna’s Limit Break:
 Desperado

Weapon Name Price Attack Power Attack % Parts needed for remodelling
Machine Gun 2000 0 105 2 Steel Pipes, 3 Dynamo Stones
