Rinoa Heartilly

About (No Spoilers)

     As a member of a resistance faction against Galbadia, Rinoa is quite a shy but she is kind-hearted and likes to lift the spirits of the others in the game.  Throughout the game, she gets caught up in the struggle against Galbadia after encountering the SeeDs from Balamb Garden for the first time.

Major Relations

     Rinoa has direct ties with the members of Timber’s resistance faction against Galbadia and she also cares a lot for Seifer in the early portions of the game as Seifer’s girlfriend.  However, after realizing that Seifer was under the influence of the Sorceress she then gets to know Squall and later on learns to care and have deep feelings and emotions for him.  Other than this, she doesn’t have any other relations with anyone else in the game.

Character Developments (Spoilers)

     Rinoa encounters the SeeDs of Balamb Garden in the early parts of the game and while she fights for the Independence of Timber, she later on joins Squall’s cause to stop the Sorceress and later on begins to care about Squall as well as Seifer as the game goes on.  Little does she realize that Seifer is under the influence of the Sorceress and eventually, she learns the true cause of SeeD and her personality is quite friendly overall.

Review

     While Rinoa didn’t really have much of a back-story, she is still quite an important part of the game through her role in the storyline.  In addition, she is a caring and kind-hearted character who helps Squall change his overall attitude and feelings towards others and she deeply cares for him.  Even though Rinoa still cares for Seifer, she is a kind character who is quite friendly and easy to get along with.  However, her character development isn’t that good in my opinion though.

Weapons

     Rinoa’s Limit Breaks sometimes come out at random and most of them involve her pet dog, Angelo.  She does have a good variety of Limits as some are attack-based ones while others are more defensive.  Just don’t rely on Rinoa’s Limits too much, her last few are really helpful however but they require some luck on getting.
