About (No Spoilers)

     Amarant is a bounty hunter, sent by Queen Brahne to recover Princess Garnet.  However, he is quick to judge others and he does things on his own heart and will, with total disregard for others.  He is known to wander out on his own, cares little about the others, and has a personal rivalry with Zidane.  While a quiet character, he seems intimidating to the other characters in the game.

Major Relations

     Amarant doesn’t have many friends in the game and he cares little about Zidane’s friends.  He does have relations with Lani, who is another bounty hunter, sent by Queen Brahne to recover Garnet and he also has strong ties with Zidane.  Both Amarant and Zidane have a long history together and throughout the game, they vow to resolve their differences for the good of the party.  Besides this, Amarant doesn’t have good relations with the other characters in the game as he is an intimidating force.

Character Developments (Spoilers)

     After getting defeated in battle, Amarant decides to join Zidane and the others in their cause and is a stubborn character.  Amarant is an intimidating character, he often does things on his own motives and intentions, and he cares very little about the others throughout the game.  Even though he despises the others, he still manages to stick with them and he does have a long-standing personal hatred and rivalry with Zidane.  He was a former bounty hunter sent by Queen Brahne to recover Garnet.

Review

     As a largely ignorant character, Amarant plays a minor role in the game and is quite an outcast for the most part.  With his non-caring attitude, he does things to his own benefits and reasons and ignores the others as well.  He seems cold-hearted but deep down he does have feelings as he doesn’t leave the others even though he despises them, especially Zidane.  Nevertheless, he is a very helpful character in battle and is one of the strongest fighters in FFIX.

Weapons/Armor/Accessories

     For the most part, Amarant can equip Claws as weapons, he is a strong character physically, and he’s one of the strongest characters in the game with his physical power.  He can equip medium and light armor as well and he is a solid and well-rounded character to use in battle overall.
