Hungus, Everlasting Life, Episode 12
"Welcome to Chocoimo's room. Only the chocobo that the Ciel ruins accept,
may become the legendary Ciel chocobo...or so it says." *shrug*
We begin our episode in Gaudium, where The Count in checking out the pieces
of Omega his Deathlords have brought him. Omega, apparently, takes a crystal
form when dormant, and they aren't sure how to awaken it. But this makes it
easier to gather, as the crystal's don't destroy anything they come into
contact with. Oscar found a piece, as did both Helba and Pisto.
They're all very proud of themselves, until Shiroi shows up with a bigger
crystal than the rest of them, and receives extra ordinary
praise from The Count, and a promotion to Deathlord. Pisto is the only one
who realizes Shiroi is vying for position and that it's a little
suspicious(seeing as how, ya know, Shiroi never did anything for The Count
other than the bare minimum before this). Immediately after this, Oscar
spots Hungus trying to sneak away. Hungus shamefully admits that he hasn't
found any of Omega yet, and receives snide comments from Helba and Pisto,
and a very direct threat from The Count concerning what will happen if he
doesn't make himself useful.
Now, to the subway. Ai and Yu were napping, Yu wakes up and talks with Lisa
a bit over nothing really, and Ai wakes up and
declares she's hungry. Until Chobi swings her around a bit.
Hungus is determined to find Omega now, and Oscar appears with an offering
of help. He says Crux has discovered a place that could bring Hungus immense
power, and Hungus is very interested(foolishy
trusting Oscar...poor deluded Hungus...).
Meanwhile, Kaze continues his search for Shiroi.
Oscar and Hungus arrive at a portion of the Inner World that is completely
covered in different types of fungus(fungi?). Hungus gleefully exclaims that
this new place is just like his home world, in fact, Oscar explains, it is a
piece of Hungus's world. As world's are conquered and absorbed, pieces
sometimes survive, that is what the Inner World is made up of. We are
treated to a Hungus flashback, apparently he was a high ranking commander,
and is still sore over having to surrender to The Count. Filled with
ambition, Hungus declares to restore his world and capture Omega...for The
Count...of course...Oscar leaves, his own plans obviously well underway.
Naturally, the subway drops off our heroes at this exact place, and they fly
Chobi around to get a good look. Lisa warns the kids to be careful. Suddenly
Hungus appears, demanding to know why they are invading his home. Just as
suddenly, Kaze appears as well, and Hungus declares he's going to kill them
all just as Lisa realizes there's something different about this place.
As Hungus says this place will be their graveyard, Kaze is reminded of his
dying home world, and when Kaze reminisces, he likes to shoot things. The
red gun won't work, and Hungus demands that Kaze fires the Demon Gun. He
then inhales the spores, and becomes a giant. He whoops Kaze pretty badly,
and the Black Wind pulls out the Demon Gun.
He summons Ixion, guess he thinks it'll work again, and the explosion
envelops Hungus and Kaze while Chobi lifts the heroes to the sky. Kaze
stands and watches as Hungus regenerates. Hungus is in a pretty good mood,
and he calls on the very landscape to fight with him. Kaze begins another
summon, and Phoenix attempts to finish what Ixion started. It almost works.
Hungus explodes, but a few seconds later, the raging flames are
extinguished, and The Deathlord regenerates once more.
He delivers a powerful punch that sends Kaze flying, Lisa and the Twins
watch in horror as Kaze does not get up...
To Be Continued! Ooo....
